The team of Brecon Jazz Club, Lastmark Music Ltd and EPM Marketing are now finalizing planning for this the 34th ‘Brecon Jazz Festival’ weekend.
SO WHAT’S HAPPENING?
This year, we have a fabulous line-up of Jazz performances programmed to entertain you at:
The Castle at Brecon Hotel
The Muse at Brecon
The Guildhall
and the Wellington Hotel
as well as other more intimate venues to be announced as they are confirmed. (Link to web-site line-up page here)
BUT, THAT’S NOT ALL:
We have secured road closure for the Festival weekend (our Streetscene) allowing us to recapture some of the atmosphere of past festivals with a main stage performance area in The Bulwark and a local performer’s stage outside Lloyds Bank.
We are creating this ‘Streetscene’, with local traders (and some not so local), food drink entertainment and services to give all our visitors, be they for Jazz or Fringe, the maximum choice in enjoying ‘a little of what they fancy’ over this exciting weekend for Brecon. In order to achieve this we need the sponsorship of local traders and businesses. There have in the past been considerable sums in grants from Welsh Arts Council and local authorities etc. This year they have not been forthcoming…. ‘times of austerity etc.’ and so we have to ask for help from Brecon.
So please Brecon traders, businesses and townspeople:
